Consulting
Projects

Innovation at its core, my team was eager to push the boundaries of creativity and craftsmanship. Each member brought unique perspectives and skills to the table, fostering an environment where ideas could flourish and evolve. The project aimed to blend form and function seamlessly, creating solutions that were not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional and user-friendly.

Soft Cush - Kar

This is a collaborative work created by Kar and Studio KAE. Its shape is an extension of Studio KAE's signature vase, named Crush, while the material used is Kar's iconic fibreglass, making the surface easier to clean and maintain. The unique form of the Crush vase lies in its use of geometric facets to deconstruct and reassemble the traditional vase structure, challenging its unity. The Soft-crush Vase, made of fibreglass, slightly retracts the sharp edges of the Crush, retaining the geometric features while adding a softer visual experience. Combined with the semi-transparent material, it seems to be a more in-depth and fluid emotional treatment of a maturing dissection method.

2024CNY - Byredo

Signalling a sense of belonging and a place of comfort, Byredo welcomes the Lunar New Year with a limited-edition collection of homeware, designed for the rituals of feasting and gathering. As the home takes centre stage during the season’s festivities, all new porcelain objects elevate the interior in a considered dialogue between tradition and modernity.

Luna - Spiral

The Lunar ceramics capture the poetry of light and shadow through subtle glazing gradients and tactile transitions. Double-sided glazing and silver detailing enhance both beauty and function, while forms emerge naturally from porcelain’s transformation during firing. Each piece embodies the material’s inherent elegance, uniting design and process.

Qeef Drongb - Konten

KONTEN positions each collection at a different coordinate in nature, constructing vessels for a utopian imaginary. The Qeef Drongb collection draws inspiration from the confluence of nature and culture in Qiandongnan. From the cascading geometry of terraced fields and the tribal civilisations of hidden ancient villages to the giant “Sky Eye” observatory that gazes into the Milky Way, the series seeks to explore and recompose the region’s morphological aesthetics. Every piece is crafted by master ceramic and glass artisans: hand-thrown ceramics with black-and-white split glazing, matte-silver electroplating, and free-blown, non-standard glass forms. Through repeated refinement and finishing—balancing scale and proportion, pursuing a studied tactility, and experimenting with material parameters such as texture, density, and weight—the collection arrives at a distinctive design language and a consummate craft aesthetic.
